Nizamabad, October 12, 2025: A resident of Nagaram village in Bodhan mandal of Nizamabad district, Kolanati Nagashiva (36 years old), who deceived unemployed youth and transported them to countries like Laos and Thailand to involve them in criminal online cyber fraud activities, has been issued a Preventive Detention (P.D.) Act - 1986 order by the Telangana State Government. Accordingly, the accused has been transferred to Chanchalguda Jail.

In this context, for the protection of public safety and to prevent habitual criminal activities, the P.D. Act - 1986 (Telangana Preventive Detention Act) has been invoked. The District Collector Rajeev Gandhi Hanumakonda has issued the order in this regard. Similarly, this Act is now being implemented against those involved in cyber crimes. We are informing about this.
Kolanati Nagashiva from Mudiraj, Gutpa, Grammandi, who was involved in recruiting unemployed youth for job opportunities abroad, lured them with promises of employment in Laos and Thailand but forced them into cyber fraud operations. The victims were made to participate in organized cyber crime networks. He was arrested on May 13-9-2025 under various sections, and now the P.D. Act has been invoked against him to prevent further crimes. The accused has been shifted to Chanchalguda Central Jail under the orders of the Telangana Government. As per G.O. Ms. No. 2035 dated 5.10.2025 (S.C.A.), such orders can be issued for public safety.
In the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the accused had deceived about 36 unemployed youth from Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Medak, Siddipet, Telangana, and other places and transported them abroad. Four cases have been registered against him in Nizamabad town police station.
To prevent such incidents in the future, all unemployed youth are advised to be cautious about job offers abroad and not fall into such traps. If anyone has information, they can report it to the concerned police station, and action will be taken to provide protection.
Currently, in Nizamabad, Armoor, and other different police stations, this Act is being implemented, and further action is being taken.
On this occasion, Nizamabad Police Commissioner Shri P. Sai Chaitanya, IPS, advised the public of Nizamabad to be vigilant and not get involved in illegal activities. He warned that those who engage in such anti-social activities that harm society will face strict legal action under the P.D. Act, leading to detention without bail
